The analysis of the 11 Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) sectors provides a comprehensive overview of each sector’s definition, performance trends, and composition.

The product is structured as follows and is interpreted and commented on by Professor and CEO Marcello Zanardo.

1. Sector Definition: a clear and concise explanation of each sector, outlining its core industries and primary economic activities.
2. Performance Analysis: comparison of sector performance against the broader market over the medium term, supported by time-series data and insightful commentary.
3. Constituent Composition: statistics on the market capitalization of companies within the sector, offering a quantitative perspective on size and influence.
4. Industry and Geographic Weights:
   • Industry Weights: visualization through pie charts, showing the distribution of sub-industries within the sector.
   • Geographic Weights: breakdown of the sector’s exposure by region, illustrating geographic diversification and concentration.
5. MSCI Factor Exposures: analysis of key factors driving sector risk and return, using MSCI FaCS (Factor Classification Standard), including:
   • Value: stocks with relatively low valuations.
   • Low Size: exposure to smaller capitalization companies.
   • Momentum: stocks exhibiting upward price trends.
   • Quality: companies with robust balance sheets and strong fundamentals.
   • Yield: focus on cash flow payouts and dividend sustainability.
   • Low Volatility: stocks with reduced risk profiles.
